Many of the people that I met at the North Toledo Bend Rendezvous on November 5, 2011, told me about our local festival in February 2012 and many plan to attend.

At the Rendezvous, I had the following individuals autograph pictures of their flies on pages 34 and 35 of the spring/summer 2011 issue of "FLYFISHER" magazine:

Kyle Moppert had an article on page 36 of that issue entitled "At the Vise: Matrix Spoon."

It was a special day for my father and I (see attached pic). My father suffers from Alzheimers. It was the perfect activity to get him out in nature for the day.

We enjoyed the hour and a half drive from Shreveport to Zwolle, LA. The park was very well maintained with nice log cabins and well-constructed piers. We watched jambalaya being prepared by a real Cajun in a big iron pot outside, and all the food prepared by the fly tyers was delicious!

The Rendevous has been held for 22 straight years. In fact, we met one 20 year old, Ian, who has attended every year, even before he was born.

We met fly tyers from Dallas, Shreveport, Lafayette, and elsewhere. At the end of the day, my father kept telling my mother how nice all the people were that we met that day.
